Fund-A-S.T.A.R. (Students and Teachers Achieving Results) now the Dr. Harold Dodge Fund-A-S.T.A.R. is a web-based program which provides opportunity for the community to show that together we can ensure success for every student. Dr. Harold Dodge Fund-A-S.T.A.R. connects the community to needs in the classroom. Mobile County School teachers use Dr. Harold Dodge Fund-A-S.T.A.R. to submit proposals that will promote the ideas and needs of their students which are aligned to the district's goals. Individual donors browse through the proposals and select a proposal they want to fund to ensure success for every student.

To ensure the accountability of Dr. Harold Dodge Fund-A-S.T.A.R., the Mobile Area Education Foundation (MAEF) works closely with MCPSS to review all proposals. The MAEF provides the fiscal responsibility for individuals and corporations to give private funds with confidence to the teachers of Mobile County Public Schools. Donors receive thank you notes from the classroom and a receipt (tax-deductible) from the MAEF for funding a proposal.
