Graduation Advocates

The Mission of the Graduation advocate is to provide academic guidance and support to students to ensure progress towards graduation and post secondary readiness.

The purpose of a Graduation Advocate is to raise the academic skills and achievement of at-risk students to help ensure their future successes and high school graduation by:

  • Providing assistance and resources to at-risk students;
  • Advising them on course work and other issues regarding high school graduation completion;
  • Analyzing data to identify students with potential high school graduation problems;
  • Planning, implementing and tracking individual high school graduation plans; and
  • Identifying barriers and resolving obstructions to graduation.

The Mobile County Public School System has provided ARRA funding for MAEF to implement this program at Blount, Davidson, Murphy, Rain, Vigor and Williamson high schools.
