Reading Buddy
The Reading Buddy program is a designed to help students improve their literacy skills by giving them the opportunity to read aloud to someone. Reading aloud is one of the most effective ways to improve a child’s reading accuracy and fluency. Students who do not learn to read by the fourth grade are less likely to graduate from high school. With your help, students can have a much better chance of graduating.
Being a Reading Buddy only requires a commitment of about an hour every week for about six months. You can click here to download a brochure that explains our Reading Buddies program in more detail.
